Best Independence Day Celebrations in Springfield MO
Springfield’s Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Parade & Celebration
It’s a simple celebration, but provides a comfortable and relaxing feeling to the holiday. Sit back, enjoy some music, set up a picnic blanket and play some games with the family. Every year the parade begins at 10 a.m., so be sure to get there early so you don’t miss a thing.
This event takes place at the Ozark Empire Fairground on Monday, July 4 and admission is completely free. The gates will open at 6 p.m., but the fireworks display doesn’t start until 9 p.m. There will be concessions available to purchase, but you’ll definitely want to bring your own blankets and lawn chairs.
