2016 Volkswagen CC Springfield MO
Volkswagen built itself up as a popular brand by repeatedly providing durable vehicles with high-quality interiors. VW is repeating itself once again with the 2016 Volkswagen CC Springfield MO holding its place as the sportier and more stylish midsize option within the lineup. The new model year holds onto the feature which made it popular, like dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth technology, LED taillights and a rearview camera, but adds on more technology and better features to keep it on top.
Whether choosing the coupe or the four-door sedan option, the 2016 VW CC drives ahead with a stylish flourish. On the outside, the sloping roofline pairs with curved headlights and a lower ride height to create a coupe styling with all the exotic appeal Volkswagen is known for, while retaining a price point falling significantly below what it appears to be worth. When it comes to a luxury sedan, few models are as affordable as the Volkswagen CC, without losing much of what makes them premium.
Two engine options deliver power to the Volkswagen CC: a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged TSI or the 3.6-liter narrow-angle VR6. Both deliver impressive horsepower, with the base engine returning 200 horsepower and the V6 offering up 280 horsepower. Either way, performance never fails to impress.
From the laser-seam-welded bodyshell the intelligent crash response system, the CC has a variety of safety features to help protect occupants in case of an accident. Other safety equipment includes front and side thorax airbags, three-point safety belts with belt-force limiters and adjustable head restraints.
A new Trend trim level sits in as the base model, with standard features that include Bi-Xenon headlights, LED taillights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, automatic climate control, heated 12-way power adjustable front seats and the MIB II infotainment system with USB and VW Car-Net App-Connect.
The 2016 Volkswagen CC is more affordable than ever
It’s easy to fall in love with the luxury of the 2016 Volkswagen CC, but not as easy to love the price. This year the model is easier than ever to get a hold of with a new base trim level that makes the model more affordable. The 2.0T Trend now sits below the 2.0T Sport, with a starting MSRP of $31,570. For the lower price, the only features lost are the “Verme” wheels, which are replaced with the “Spa” style, touchscreen navigation and the MDI port, which is replaced with a USB port. This leaves rain-sensing windshield wipers, automatic climate control, V-Tex leatherette and a rearview camera as features that continue as standard features, while adding on the MIB II infotainment system, which has App-Connect functionality which will make the loss of touchscreen navigation hardly noticeable.
For those seeking a sportier style, Volkswagen has added on two new R-Line trim levels: the Executive and Executive w/ Carbon. The standard 2.0-T Executive has been removed as a trim option, bringing the total to six total trim options. The standard Executive is unlikely to be missed, with the R-Line offering more styling at a lower price than the previously available option.
