What comes standard in the 2017 VW Pink Beetle?
There have been so many renditions of the Volkswagen Beetle over the years, that it’s entirely possible to find one that won’t be like all the others you see on the street. Just this year, Volkswagen released the Special Edition Volkswagen Beetle Dune and the 2016 Volkswagen Beetle Denim, both vehicles that are throwbacks to previously popular versions of the retro-inspired car. Now those who have been seeking a vibrant car worthy of Barbie will find it next year. What is the Volkswagen T-Prime GTE plug-in hybrid?
It was just two weeks ago that we heard the news that Volkswagen would be bringing another SUV concept to an auto show. So far this year we saw the T-Cross Breeze in Geneva back in early March, and before that Volkswagen tantalized us with the Tiguan GTE Active back at the NAIAS in January. Volkswagen has repeatedly indicated that the SUV lineup will expand in upcoming years, introducing as many as three new options to the lineup and updating both the Tiguan and Touareg. Naturally, we thought this update of the Touareg would be the next unveiling, since it is the standing luxury option in the lineup, but instead we were introduced to the T-Prime concept. It’s been more than a month since Volkswagen revealed the T-Cross breeze in Geneva, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t more up the automaker’s sleeve. VW recently revealed new concept images for a plug-in hybrid SUV, leaving up speculating at a possible 2018 VW Touareg concept at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show. If it seems like all we’re talking about lately is automotive shows, and now the T-Cross specifically, it’s because there’s a whole lot going on for Volkswagen already this year. We all know it’s taking a bit for Volkswagen to come back strong, but the brand is nothing if not persistent. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen a whole new model come out from VW, but it’s more and more likely to happen. We know, Volkswagen is a bit known for flashing some concepts and then never green lighting them, but we’re confident it’s different this time. With the VW T-Cross Breeze Crossover SUV confirmed as one of the displays at the 2016 Geneva International Motor show, we’re taking a look at its features and offering up predictions on what this could mean for the lineup. VW T-Cross subcompact SUV at Geneva Motor Show 2016
It may be more than a full week away, but rumors about the 2016 Geneva International Motor show are hitting the presses fast. Volkswagen has finally released some news, with a teaser image showing a small crossover concept with square illuminated fog lights. It isn’t clear if this indicates it will be electric as the BUDD-e concept was, but it is expected to have few, if any, switches and buttons based on that concept. Despite not revealing a name or any detailed pictures as of yet, the rumor is the VW T-Cross subcompact SUV is the model to expect that the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. (more…)

Rumors on 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan Specs and Features
If the automotive industry doesn’t seem fast-paced, you’ve never kept up with the various international automotive shows. Just as the 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan makes an appearance with its last model for the first-generation, VW presents the European Tiguan at the Frankfurt Auto Show. This may not seem like it should mean much for us, since Euro-spec models don’t always represent the same vehicle we will see, but it’s already sparking rumors on 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan specs and features. Buying a new car is a decision people both love and hate to make. We hate spending our money, and a new car is no small purchase. We love having something new, with fresh features, a perfect paint job and the knowledge that the vehicles is starting with a fresh history. There can be little doubt the VW Golf GTI is one of the more popular options in the Volkswagen lineup, as it combines the practical necessities we know we need, with some pretty stellar features that we can’t help but desire. This year happens to be a rollover, which means the sporty styling and powerful 2.0-liter engine will continue to reign supreme at Volkswagen of Springfield, but the 2016 VW Golf GTI standard features and options sweeten the pot to make this model year even more attractive than the one before it. It’s easy to tell where Volkswagen priorities are set. It seems every week we’re hearing there’s another model that will feature mind-blowing performance that puts the past vehicles to shame. Mostly these are concepts, or limited edition models like the 2016 Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport which we’ll likely never get our hands on. This time is different. We’re already past the halfway point in 2015, which in the automotive industry means we can start to expect new model year vehicles to make their way into showrooms. The first one to come will be the Tiguan, which has been widely anticipated for the last two months thanks to some spy photos of a heavily camouflaged Tiguan appearing on various auto blogs. For those about to turn 40 next year, the good news is you share a birthday with the highly popular Volkswagen Golf GTI. We can only wish you celebrate like VW does, as a new model was revealed at Worthersee this year which proved to not be just another concept, but a near-production model. The 40th Anniversary 2016 Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport may not look too vastly different from the 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI we already have on the market, but it’s what’s under the hood that counts.
